Description

Short for a hrothgar and thin to boot, with snowy-white fur, raven-black hair and glowing, amber eyes wherein black sigils of arcanima float along the lenses. Golden piercings stud her snout, both her nose and through the feline lips beneath.

Biography

Jaazi was raised in a hardscrabble mountain village in western Ala Mhigo by Hyuran parents during the height of the Garlean occupation. They had found her abandoned, floating down the river in a wicker basket while they were fishing. They brought her home and raised her as their own child. Being the only hrothgar in town made her a social outcast, subject to abuse and bullying.While her parents were kindly, Jaazi found that she felt nothing but resentment for them despite their attempts at love and affection, and ended up leaving permanently in the dead of night when she was sixteen years old.After sneaking her way over the mountain passes and past Garlean patrols, she drifted through Eorzea. She survived off of a bloody life of muggings, robbery and petty piracy in Limsa Lominsa until a chance encounter led her to X'rhun Tia, who taught her the basics of the estoc and red magic. After an introduction to a Sharlayan acquaintance of his who was interested in her aptitude for red magic, she eventually ended up in Sharlayan at age 19, where she honed her skill at aetherial manipulation and alchemy. At age 25, just at the end of her studies in Sharlayan, the Calamity occurred - and afterward, Jaazi found herself moving back to Eorzea to begin work as an alchemist.

Personality

Arrogant, self-assured and dominating. Jaazi gives off an air of striking intellect, scholarly elegance and cool charisma. She can act the friend, confidant and expert just as well as she can act the monster behind closed doors and in the whispers in the shadows.
Her temper, petty grudges, general suspicion of others and addictive habits often undercut her own successes - yet her successes are undeniable.

Sharlayan-trained Sage and a Red Mage trained by X'ruhn Tia, Jaazi has a deeply intuitive and thorough understanding of aether and its direct manipulation, especially where it concerns alchemy and botany.
She is often performing research in one way or another. Her current focus is aetherochemical and aetherobotanical research. Occasionally researches aetheric phenomenon that tickle her curiosity.
